2003 Calgary Student Visit

Calgary Police Canine Unit

Students and teachers got a very special behind-the-scenes tour of the Calgary Police Canine Unit. Here they learned how officers train the dogs that aid in protecting the citizens of Calgary. They saw the dogs training on an obstacle course, watched as the dogs did drills and saw what's involved when dogs help to take down a suspected criminal. This was a unique experience for the students and teachers and one that taught them a great deal about the Calgary Police.
